Some quick facts:
The forms being mailed out now are only SAMPLE ballots. Please do not mail these in, as they are being destroyed. In light ink, way too light in color, it says "For information purposes only" across the whole form.
The REAL forms will be mailed in mid-March and will ask for an April 1st return date. You can mail the real forms back before then! The more ballots that are returned early, the more money your local jurisdiction will have in the future. Early return figures need to rise!
The short form is for The Count.
5% of the population will get an additional long form. If you care about roads, hospitals, senior resources, schools, etc. Consider giving your input on your area if asked. Federal funding for these types of NEEDS will be allocated by the data collected by the long form -not the 10 questions of The Count.
The Count will determine important things like new congressional seats!
All data is sealed for 72 years. No one will get your name, address, living situation, no one.
Numbers and stats will be released in time, your personal information: not until 72 years have passed.
Be involved.
Mention the Census to your family, co-workers, clients and friends.
